In the advisory template, you may have noticed two header fields titled Classification and Attributes. We have come up with a list of meatspace classifications for the bugs to help identify what area(s) of the meatspace a particular bug applies to:
- Mind – Brain hack, memory, psychology, etc.
- Body – The “meat” in meatspace, the human body
- Tech – Interaction with physical technology
- Social – Society or Human interaction
- Flora – Plants, fungus, etc.
- Fauna – Animals, insects, etc.
- Microbial – Microscopic life, viral, bacterial, etc.
- Geological – Earth, stone, crystal, etc.
- Meteorological – Climate, weather, etc.
Whereas “attributes” indicate what type of security issue the bug is as well as it’s properties, such as:
- Local
- Remote
- Authentication
- Bypass
- etc.
